Oh, Magic is the document of a year’s worth of touring, writing and recording by Like Pioneers, who’ve developed from a recording project to a full-fledged band. The line-up – Bobby Gallivan, Janie Porche, Dan Radzicki (three-fifths of Bound Stems), Jesse Woghin (The Narrator, Chin Up Chin Up), and Matt Holland (Love Of Everything, Vacations) – began tracking in the fall of 2011 at Mike Lust’s Phantom Manor in Chicago. With lead vocals split among Woghin, Gallivan, and Porche, Oh, Magic bounces around for the entirety of the album’s 36 minutes without losing energy or skipping a beat.
